Fellowship-Trained Refractive, Cataract & MIGS Surgeon
Dr. Nikhil Swarup is a fellowship-trained surgeon specializing in refractive, cataract, and minimally invasive glaucoma procedures. He has a strong interest in achieving spectacle independence for patients and has presented research on advanced intraocular lens technologies, most recently at ASCRS 2026.
Raised in Virginia and North Carolina, Dr. Swarup is proud to return to the region to care for patients in rural communities, practicing alongside his father, Dr. Jitendra Swarup, MD. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys fishing, pickleball, tennis, and spending time with his wife, child, and two dogs.
